Move domain name from a (failed) Bubble app to a new one

I bought a template and have managed to totally ruin it so now I need to ‘create a new app’ and move my custom domain name so I can delete the Big Experiment.

Any help appreciated!

If you’re able to restore your app to a point in history when it wasn’t ruined, I would recommend that instead. You would need to detach it from your current plan and cancel it, then start a new one, which will also bill you again at that time if you’re not able to restore it (Personal plan can go back 7 days)

My first attempt is still on a ‘free trail’ and I already started a new app but somehow skipped the ‘free trail’ option so -
I now have a paid app with a fresh template but my domain name is still attached to the app that will expire in a few days. Guess I need to find out how to detach it? And attach the name to the new app

You can disconnect your domain in the Settings > Domain > Domain settings > “delete this domain name”

Thanks so much!
It was a little nerve wracking - I thought my domain name might evaporate but I detached it from the failed app and typed it in for the new version and it all slid over quick and smooth :sweat_smile:
