Need help - repeating group

can i have a repeating group display data from 2 databases? i am not getting the option to show data from a different database. please help, screenshot below

Hi @khalidsardar742,

Two databases? Do you mean two separate data types? What’s the use-case for having two data types in the same repeating group?

thanks for the reply, i could be wrong in understanding the structure of bubble database, please see below image

as seen in the image i have created a table to record the actuals a user logs daily and i believe this is managed in a separate table which i am referring to a database vs

the record table which is the target,
i have maintained these seperately since the target is set at the start of the month and only once, however the actuals the user achieves can be entered on a daily basis,
now i want to create a repeating group to show details from both tables but it doesnt let me ass seen below

when i use two repeating groups to display this then then can i synchronize the scroll to make it look like one table, hopw you have understood the problem, thanks for helping

Hi there, @khalidsardar742… if I understand your post correctly, one or more actuals in the Actual data type tie back to a single target in the Record data type, right? If that is correct, I would either have a record field (type Record) in the Actual data type that stores the target with which each actual is associated or I would have an actuals field (type Actual and a list) in the Record data type that stores a list of actuals associated with each target.

With one of those fields in place, it would be much easier to show what you are trying to show.

Hope this helps.

Best…
Mike

many thanks mike, i havent used the store as list option yet nor did i know what it was for, but this i will try, so from your solution i gather that it is not possible to display fields from two different databases in one repeating group - please correct if wrong.

You are not wrong. Focus on getting your data types right rather than focusing simply on the act of showing data in a repeating group because if your data types are set up “properly” (which could mean a lot of things), you will be able to display the data the way you want to display it.
