To summarize, I was finalizing the settings to publish my app (I already had Bubble connected to the Android Play Store). However, as soon as I uploaded the app bundle for publishing, an error appeared.
The warning stated that the package name could not contain ‘com.example’. I remember leaving it like that during setup, thinking it wouldn’t cause a fatal error later on.
After several failed attempts to simply change the name in the Google Cloud Project and Play Console, I decided to delete everything and disconnected Bubble from the Android Play Store.
Since then, I haven’t been able to reconnect them.
I have recreated everything from scratch, but the error persists. I should add that if I try to use these same credentials in a different Bubble project, the connection works perfectly. It just won’t work in the original project.
