Hello @Pat. I use the plugin “AIR TOOLTIP” and it works perfectly.
Try to setup this plugin, if you can’t do it by yourself get in touch again to handle it.

Thank you so much. This looks like a great plug-in. Unfortunately, it is not exactly what I need. My main problem is, that I need to be able to connect the tool tip to a specific word in a long text (or connect multiple, different words in a long text to different tooltips). Just like on Wikipedia.
The plug-in you mentioned can only add one tool-tip to one object (i.e. the entire text) through the ID attribute field.
I should also mention that not only do I need the above. But I also want the end-user (just like an editor on wikipedia) to assign tooltips to words.
If anyone has an idea how to build this please reach out to me!

This is exactly what I need. And now it would be great if I could let the user make these changes through e.g. a rich text text editor. E.g. in edit mode: mark word, open-popup , upload a picture, write some text, save. Now in read-mode the user hovers over the word and sees the picture and text.
