[NEW FREE PLUGIN] Liveblocks by Lunch Pail Labs

Hey everyone!

Building real-time collaborative apps is challenging. Liveblocks solves this really well, but it’s not possible to use it with Bubble without a custom plugin—so I decided to launch a free one! You can get it here.

What is Liveblocks?

Liveblocks lets you add real-time collaboration features like comments, notifications, text editors, and more to your app. (Check out examples here).

What can you do with the free plugin?

The plugin currently implements a small part of what’s possible with Liveblocks. The two main use cases covered are:

  • Live avatar stacks – see who’s online and offline (guide).
  • Live cursors – watch users’ cursor movements across the page in real-time (guide).

Here are some other resources to help you get started:

Would love any feedback if you try it out, feel free to drop a note in this forum!
If you have any thoughts, questions, or suggestions about the free plugin, feel free to share them on the idea board here.

I’m also considering a full-featured paid version with advanced features like comments, notifications, and text editors. If that’s something you’d like, let me know by voting here.

Best,
Lola

Thanks for this plugin @lola — I’m going to give our users the ability to create teams and collaborate soon. Liveblocks was on the list so the timing here was on point

Thanks for checking it out! Right now, the plugin covers only a few Liveblocks features, but if there’s something specific you’re looking for, let me know—depending on interest I can add some more

Hi everyone!

I recently uploaded a new video tutorial on setting up presence tracking—which you can use to show who’s online and active on your page.

If you give the plugin a try, please reach out if you need help!
