[New plugin] Create a product tour for your app 🚩

Hi @alexcooney5,

Great plugin, it really makes the product tour easy! Only thing I am walking into is that it seems that the highlighted area has a maximum height of sorts that I am not able to edit. As you can see in the picture the bottom part of the group I am trying to highlight fall outside of the highlighted area. Is there a way for me to fix this?

Hi @j.hagemann, thanks for the kind words!

We should be able to fix this.

I’m going to send you a private message shortly to request access to your editor. That way I can take a closer look and figure out what’s going on.

April-24 Updates
Just released a new version of the plugin (version 2.5.0) that has several new formatting options. You can now set:

  • The font size on the text and buttons
  • The background colour of the body section
  • The font colour on the body section

I’ve also added some suggested font families to the ā€˜Custom Font’ field documentation

How about some Verdana?

Or maybe some Courier?

Or Georgia font with a dark green colour…

Any questions let me know

June-24 update

Just released a new video tutorial on how to create a user onboarding experience with the plugin!

Any questions just let me know

Hello, can I make onboarding on few different pages?

Hi @qckly00, thanks for your interest in my plugin! Yep, its possible to run the tour across multiple pages.

This video should show you how to do so:

The video deals with a single page application, but the principle is the same if you’re using multiple pages.

Any questions just let me know

Thanks for the answer.

  1. Is there any option to change the language of the button’s text?
  2. Is there a possibility to click in the app’s button to go further instead of pop-up’s button?
  3. Can I change the pop-up design?

No problem @qckly00!

You can add whatever text you want (using any language) to the button if that’s what you mean.

Yes. The plugin comes with an action ā€˜Go to next step a Product Tour’. You can use this to trigger the next step in a tour when the user clicks a button in your app.

You can change:

  • The text of the various buttons
  • The size of the font in the buttons
  • The colour of the text and background of the popup
  • The font style

Hope all that helps! Any other questions just let me know

Thanks for the answer, I really like this plugin. I stucked at the action, when I have to close the pop-up. When I’ve make an action after ā€œStart Product Tourā€ the pop up doesn’t show at all. I’ve tried also with "trigger custom event’ but it is the same…

First: I show the popup
Second: I show the info in this pop up
Third: I close the pop-up
Fourth: I show the info on the main page

@qckly00 have you seen this part of the plugin documentation where I describe how to incorporate popups (or focus groups) in the product tour?

For closing the popup, you can use a ā€˜when condition is true’ workflow action with the plugin’s ā€˜step index’ to hide the focus group after the user has moved onto the next step - see below for an example:
