A new dropdown is here. One that searches as you type and scrolls through any size list.
Today I’m releasing Simple Searchable Dropdown to fix that.

What makes it different?
Search as you type
Instantly filters your options client-side as the user types. No workflows needed,
no page loads, just fast smooth filtering.
Connects to any Bubble data type
Pick your data type, pick your label field and you’re done. No typing field names
as strings, no guesswork. Works exactly like Bubble’s native elements.
Returns the full Bubble thing
When a user selects an option you get the complete Bubble record back as a state,
not just a text value. Access any field directly: selected option’s name,
selected option’s email, selected option’s unique id.
Never clipped inside popups or groups
The dropdown list uses fixed positioning so it always renders on top of everything.
No more dropdowns getting cut off inside a popup or a scrollable group.
Fully styled from Bubble’s style panel
Font, color, border, border radius, all inherited directly from Bubble’s built-in
styling. No double-styling. It just looks like the rest of your app.
Other good stuff
Static comma-separated options for simple lists
Clear button to deselect
Disabled state via conditions
Loading spinner while data fetches
Rich events: option selected, cleared, search changed, opened, closed
Works in repeating groups
