[New release] Bubble projects and app switcher

Hi everyone!

I’m Nick, the PM for the mobile team. We’re excited to share that the app switcher is now live for all mobile beta testers. This new feature allows you to seamlessly switch between your web and mobile apps within a single project, making it easier to manage both. It also filters the new asset interface manager to only show the relevant platform pages/views/reusables.

It also reflects a change that we’re making to Bubble terminology. Every time you create a new app in Bubble, it now starts as a project. For existing Bubble users, your current web app will be converted into a project.

  • A project can contain:
    • Only a web app
    • Only a mobile app
    • Both a web and mobile app for complete cross-platform solutions
  • Use the app switcher in the editor to effortlessly move between your web and mobile interfaces while maintaining a single, unified backend

ICYMI: Thanks to your help, we’re finally ready to remove the waitlist. While we’re continuing to work hard on the upcoming roadmap, we’re also opening up the beta to everyone and we’d love for you to join us for our launch livestream on June 10. You’re already familiar with what the mobile editor looks like, but the livestream will give you an opportunity to learn more about what’s coming up in our roadmap and hear success stories from other early testers. We hope to see you there!

This has to be one of my most favorite enhancements, much much better!

If we deploy to live under Mobile, will Web app’s still see the update banner?

by update banner I mean the thing at top “we’ve updated the app, you need ot refresh etc.”

Yes, because a mobile deploy requires a corresponding web deploy as well
