New updates to the redesigned property editor!

Thank you for reporting :folded_hands:. This is only a visual issue.

This happened because in the old PE, unique IDs default to =, so users never had to select it themselves. When you converted the new PE, = wasn’t showing because it had never been explicitly selected, although it was still functioning that way.

Sorry for the confusion, we’re fixing this right now! (cc @fabrizio @randomanon)

Here is another field that seems to have been forgotten about. This is the new and old editor comparison of this field. Unless I just don’t know where to look for it. :man_shrugging: Alt Tag seems to be gone.

We’re going to add it back!

Fix in review. :+1:

Documentation is now displayed in the information icon you see by hovering over the section title.

Click into the content input and it’ll be there!

Thanks for clarifying!

hey @lindsay.esterman i submitted a ticket for new color fields converting rgba color variables to static hex format, and breaking any custom frontend structure relying on rgba color variables, any news on that?

to clarify: this happens when changing the opacity of a defined style color.

Not sure if this has been reported already, but when a value of “0” is entered in number fields, it is just showing the word “dynamic” not 0. Other numbers show fine.

Also some weird visual glitch:

Yeah, this seems to be a wider bug, not just redesign property editor.

If have a reusable element property of type number, and set default to zero it says ‘no default’ instead of zero.

I had tried to pull a color registered in Bubble, but it only accepted hexadecimal; I don’t know if they fixed it.

It’s not working for me. Funnily enough ,the only info I see is for Auto-binding – which doesn’t have any docs in the old version

I’m not sure what to make of this. Both are boolean fields, but one says "yes" and the other yes. Setting it again marks it "yes".

Replace the element type is still not available on the left menu. Only available when right-clicking on an element. If the element is behind something, it’s really annoying to try to do this.

This used to be available in the Edit menu at the top but that is removed now.

That’s an annoying bug been around for several months. Usually no quotes is a default value, most often default value of field of a plugin. It makes no difference but is confusing.

Another new bug that’s confusing crept into old property editor today which is condition to change an icon won’t show the selected icon and just reads choose icon or some variant indicating no selection had already been made.

Another bug today. This has a fixed height for some reason and it doesnt expand anymore.

It actually expands but I have to manually drag the edges. The default seems to be not fit to content or something.

I’m very interested in participating in this beta. As a dedicated Bubble steward, I’d love the opportunity to provide constructive feedback and help refine the platform. Could you let me know the steps to get access?

I notice that “only when” is sometimes at the top and some times at the bottom. Maybe there is a good reason for that, but so far i’ve found it off putting. I ‘think’ it used to always be in the same place at the bottom?

I do really like the new property editor but I think you need to give additional consideration to making things a bit easier on the eyes. Sometimes it’s like a wall of info that’s brain overload. The conditional formatting panel for example soon becomes way too cluttered when lots of conditions. Things just need separating a little clearer from each other. :folded_hands:t2:

It doesn’t look like the RTE for editing text values works yet. See the video, it’s not actually changing the size of the font.

Again, I need to switch off the new editor and go back to the old editor to make this adjustment.

I shared your ask with the team! We’ll get you on the new beta soon

I’ve a nasty bug with this new editor….

Many plugin parameters are not visible in the conditional formatting panel.

I can SEE them on previously set up elements and even modify those.

I can COPY & PASTE them from previous elements.

But I can not add them anew- they do not appear in the search dropdown.

I call this a bug with the new property panel because when i switch back to the old one, everything behaves correctly again! PLEASE FIX !! :folded_hands:t2:

Based on all the bug feedback, I’m sure you’re all working hard to get the little details fixed. But wanted to point out that it’s nice to have multiple pop-ups available until you close them (I think). I would always have to go up and down the chain and remember where I was. With multiple pop-ups, it would be nice to use some color code to know where you are or arrows would be cool too, but I don’t think arrows are as critical if the colors are there for effort sakes. Here is a 1 shot prompt visual representation of the idea. Thanks!

One Bug is that when you move the first pop-up you opened, the rest of them immediately close.

it would be nice to use some color code

For some reason Bubble designers seem a little bit adverse to colour.

Colour is a wonderful helpful brain-friendly organiser/differentiator if used correctly.

Doesn’t need to be garish or cheap… used subtly and appropriately it can be a real benefit.

Interface design is about making things as clear & intuitive for users as possible and colour is often one of the simplest ways to improve it.
