No image uploader does these things? (can't be true)

I can’t find an image uploader that does all of this:

  1. Multiple images at one time (to bubble database)
  2. compress before upload…for faster uploads speed (like bubble does here)

Not mandatory, but would also like to have:

  1. Access to upload progress (to display a proegess bar as it uploads)

I found this plugin by @momen but there’s no way to limit image size before upload.

Anyone have a recommendation?

Hey Brad! Have you checked out Uploadcare to see if it works for your use case? https://uploadcare.com/

Additionally, I’ve used Wasabi and this plugin to accomplish #1 and #2. I believe it did #3 in the past but no longer does…don’t quote me on that though. An alternative solution I’ve used for #3 is to embed a perpetual loading lottie/icon and show it while the upload has started and the file hasn’t completed uploading yet.

I’ve not tried uploadcare yet. I’m on the their website now…this is interesting :thinking:. Is it compatibe with existing bubble file storage (aws)?

@brad.h Those on top of the progress bar includes the uploaded percentage as exposed state as well.

Hi @aj14 How did you setup UploadCare to your app?

The available UploadCare plugins didn’t seem to work reliably. I worked with a developer to write custom JS to add uploadcare. I scrapped this idea because it required too much custom code.

The Advanced Multi-Uploader does exaclty what I need, but there seem to be relaibility issues. (their demo page has been broken).

Thanks. I forgot to add: I don’t want to use outside storage. I want the multi-uploader and image compression to upload directly to bubble native storage.

Seems that both of your products require use of outside storage and accounts.

Hello @brad.h ,

First, you need to create a custom state with the list as shown in the screenshot:

Then start the workflow on the button when you want to add a list to the custom state.

Afterward, save custom in your database as shown in the screenshot:

(note: take img as a list in database)

There will be options like:

  1. Set-list: It will replace the old list with the new one.
  2. Add-list: It will add both lists but the repeating items will be added once.
  3. Add: It will simply add lists and repeating items.

Better Uploader does this and more

  • Supports multi uploading to Bubble
  • You can limit file size and number of files allowed to be uploaded
  • You can drag & drop folders to Bubble
  • Rename files before uploading

Just to name a few :smiley:
