No new workflow editior!

This is a really good take, this take is so good. Creating new app to test it my hyptohesis can be around 50-60%

Try using the grid view and increasing the size of the selection tab. I also used zoom on the page to make everything bigger, it’s much better now. It would be nice if I could select larger elements directly instead of having to zoom in on the browser.

Wasn’t the discussion up to this point for the last 6 months very constructive, and strongly pointing towards: “This new design first needs to be much better in key areas before its at the minimum as useful as the ‘old’ one and only then it is merely acceptable to force it on all users?”

And now Bubble is just pushing it despite the overwhelmingly negative feedback of very active users and an outcry is happening at the moment it was pushed to Prod without the option to change back.

It’s really hard staying constructive when Bubble is just, once more, forcing half baked solutions onto it’s users without listening to what the user demands are.

–EDIT–
I’m actually quite happy with the new workflow editor. The functionality where you can see triggers and directly jump to the workflows that are triggered is boosting my productivity definitely and I’m quite happy with the change. As for the horizontal layout → in compact view and fully stretched out i’m finally able to see all conditionals at a glance which wasn’t possible beforehand.

@fede.bubble OMG THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! whoever designed this workflow has no idea how their users work.
has anyone figured out how to see at a glance workflow conditions? i am freaking out they all just say “every time condition” Condition what? before we were able to quickly glance and find the right condition, NOW I NEED TO HOVER INTO EACH ONE to see! ITS COSTING ME HOURS just to find the right condition.

thanks @georgecollier !
but its still just showing 15 characters, before we were able to see more @fede.bubble

Honestly, the new Bubble workflow interface is frustrating to use. I can’t even clearly see the icons — they’re too small and not intuitive. It’s become way too difficult to find what I need quickly.

Also, the font size is too small. I literally had to wear my glasses just to navigate properly — something I never had to do with the old version.

To make things worse, I couldn’t even use Snip & Sketch to show where I was pointing with my mouse. I had to resort to taking a photo with my mobile camera just to share the issue. That should tell you how unintuitive this update feels.

I really wish there was an option to switch back to the previous UI — it was much easier to navigate, especially for someone who builds daily in Bubble.

It’s more important to know the fraction of total apps represented by the 34K. There could be selection effects with only extremely high openness people opting in, which wouldn’t be representative of the wider userbase.

[/quote] You make a good point, but I think the key metric should actually be how many users tested the beta and then switched back to the original version. That would give a much clearer picture of actual engagement and satisfaction, rather than just opt-in/opt-out behavior. It’s the switch-back rate that can really reveal how the broader userbase feels about the beta.

I would rather pay 10x the monthly fee, than use this new stupid workflow editor. If I can’t switch back I will move all my no code projects to a different company.

@fede.bubble pretty sure you guys conducted heavy testing before launching this fantastic feature! The community loves it! Great job guys.

If you guys are running out of projects, the UI editor is already a mess but I have no doubt that you guys will find a way to make it worse. Keep breaking the ceiling

I understand where you’re coming from, but my intention wasn’t to repeat or shuffle words — it was to highlight a different angle. The opt-in/opt-out numbers alone can be misleading without knowing how many people actually reverted after testing the beta. That switch-back behavior could provide a more realistic indicator of user sentiment and long-term adoption, which is often overlooked in raw opt-in stats.

Sometimes, it’s not about reinventing the math — it’s about applying it in a way that better reflects real user behavior.

My suggestion would be to maintain both types of workflows, so users can choose whichever one they’re more comfortable with. Yes, it might cost more to support both options, but in return, it would likely lead to greater user satisfaction and a smoother overall experience. Flexibility goes a long way in keeping different user preferences aligned.

You need to read the post she says 34k tested, 8% opted out, we are discussing why those numbers can be misleading. Than you come up and say nothing, you said nothing

Hey Fede, learning something new is tough, we know this. Learning something new is even harder when there are a lot of bugs. That is something we also know but Bubble does not know (or chooses to ignore).

Please take into account the people who spend 4 to 8 (maybe even more) hours a day building apps with Bubble. The bugs are costing us and our clients money.

Allow us to use the old editor while you guys solve the bugs and improve the UX in the new editor. We understand bugs in the old editor will not be solved.

Agreed! The UI is better on the new one (it looks cool), but the UX is extremly bad. I use so much time reading from the left menu to the middle of the menu clicking, and it is usless imo.. the old editor was genious and simple, WHY NOT stick with it, Bubble… :frowning:

I just hate the new workflow changes. Everything is so small and I don’t understand the use of the blank spaces sitting around. REVERT BACK!

I may need extra protection today walking home from this forum…

but, I actually like the new design. I’m not finding problems with it for my apps.

Maybe for larger more complicated apps there are problems…and I’m sure there are from some of the comments…but, hopefully, Bubble will fix those problems.

Anyway, for myself, I’m finding the new design better.

Update from my end: I’m cataloging and sharing all feedback with the team.

I think I mentioned it above but I’ll repeat it: it really helps if you can share what you like or don’t like about the new WF tab, not just sharing one-liners that you hate it (for example)

While I respect the innovation, my productivity has dramatically reduced, it’s harder to find well organised workflows and now it feels like an old-school automation tool. Plus, as others have said my screen is now 80% whitespace. Please can you add an option to toggle it back for users who’d already mastered Bubble and didn’t want this new overhaul which forcing it to be used feels unnecessary. It feels like the team took the industry leading and geniusly productive part of creating apps in bubble that everyone loved, and redesigned it (not sure why!) to match every other old-school automation app out there, when they already had a near-perfect workflow editor.
