Page breaks on PDFs

Quick question @bubble devs,

has anyone successfully implemented page breaks on a group element to be used for previewing before downloading to pdf for an invoicing application?

Take a look into @alexcooney5 PDF Potion.
I’ve never tried it. But it looks promising…

@heyveejay0308 PDF Potion has a number of page break options. You can:

  • Add a page break to a specific element
  • Add a smart break to an element so that if it’s going to be split across > 1 page, it will start on the next page
  • Start each cell of a repeating group on a new page

I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘previewing before downloading to pdf’, but let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do what I can to help :slight_smile:

Thank you for responding,

I tried pdf potion and the video guide is great, after following your instructions i keep getting an empty pdf .

I don’t know why

I am not an agency plan,
The elements on the page are visible,
I have some basic privacy rules set up, could that be it? (Though i removed the privacy rules, the pdf was still empty)

Please , what am i missing?

I just noticed that the page I want to pdfed contains only dynamic data and do not display on the pdf and pages with static data display on the pdf.

could it privacy rules or element conditions messing with me?

Hi @heyveejay0308, it sounds like you need to modify the ‘Page Name’ field to let PDF Potion know what dynamic data to include in the PDF. You can learn how to do this at the link below :slight_smile:
