QOL Update: Remove Copy Expression from Empty Expression

Just a small QOL update that came to mind as I accidentally for the 150 millionth time copied an empty expression when I was going to paste the expression that I had copied and then had to go back and find said expression to re copy it.

Is it possible to remove the “Copy Expression” option when the expression you clicked on is empty? There already is the clear expression option so there is really no need to ever copy an empty expression. At least none that I have found in my experience.

Feel like that option could just not appear when a user is right clicks on the expression that happens to be empty. Might also make sense to hide the clear expression when at it and just show “Paste Expression”.

What do you all think? Has this happened to you?

Yes, I feel like I do this accidentally at least once a week

Have you submitted this on the Ideaboard? I’d give it an upvote but can’t find anything when I search.

 well its there now!

Another implementation option could be to not perform the copy if the expression is empty

Yeah, however they already have the “Reveal Element” appear when you select an expression. So makes me feel like they have some control over this context window for what can and can’t appear.
