I’m working on optimizing my Bubble website by removing unused plugins and font packs to improve performance. While reviewing my “Icon” element, I noticed it includes a long list of font pack options:
However, on my plugins page, the only icon pack plugin I have installed is the Ionic one. Does anyone know why Bubble is loading all these additional font packs or how I can remove them to reduce unnecessary bloat?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
bubble updated it’s icon library a long time ago and now include all these ones. You can’t remove them.
I saw written somewhere that if you use one icon from a pre installed icon pack, it will download the entire pack on page load; and if you don’t, it wont. Do you know if this is true?
I don’t believe they are downloaded as long as you don’t use any of them.
In fact, I’ve just checked that they are indeed not downloaded unless you use them. Same with fonts.
You can see only one icons package is downloaded and some fonts only. Only those I’ve used in the app.
This fact is mentioned in The Ultimate Guide to Bubble Performance - Second Edition, p.74-80 and in this post
