Repeating group posts from multiple people

how can i get my repeating group to show posts from the current user and the user’s friends. i have a friends field under User that is a list of friends, called Friends, I want the repeating group to display posts Created by= current user, but I also want the repeating group to display posts Created by is in Current User’s Friends. How do I do this. It doesnt seem to let me.

After the result of the search where the posts are created by the current user, use “merge with” and do another search for posts created by the users friends.
