So, I should have clarified that I’m talking about internally-hosted videos, not plugins for video platforms.

I have tried all of the free video plugins that I can find (api vide player, videojs, and html 5 video player), and none have responsive layout options. The player element’s dimensions are defined, and then there is a field to define a minimum percentage of the width.

Maybe I’m just being obtuse with my expectations, but based on the responsive layout options for most other elements, it seems like the layout options for API Video Player, VideoJS, and HTML5 video plugins are “missing” responsive components.

Have you tried putting them into a group, defining your responsive setting on that group, and leaving the ‘apply max width when page is stretched’ option on the plugin element unchecked?.. that usually works for plugins and elements that don’t yet have the new responsive layout settings (obviously it won’t apply in the editor, but it should work on the actual page).

The only trouble with that is it won’t adjust the height…

Ah yeah, the height is my main concern. But, I’ll see what I can get out of this. Thanks for the tip, I have stayed away from the “max width” settings but I’ll have to explore their usefulness now.
