Reusable Header can't send information to main page (index)

How to jump to a specific location on a page from a reusable element?

I have a button in my reusable header, that I want to go to about halfway down a specific page. I have seen where you can scroll to a specific element, but this doesn’t work if the button is in a reusable element. Any way to accomplish this.
