Seriously lacking in pre made templates

Having looked wide and far on the internet, I am struggling to find a platform that can offer the balance and freedom to use backend coding against having a basic but complete template you can use off the shelf. I struggle with design so I cannot seem to find a right balance between design and backend capabilities.

Why are the templates so poor on here? There are very few ready made website/personal templates you can use off the shelf for website ideas, as they all seem to be geared towards CRM/Mass user or copies of other sites.

Someone/Bubble should design some more individual/ personal blog, business or news based design sites that are fully integrated. It just seems there is a pretty poor choice of designs.

Website designs like Wix would be good. Just my opinion.

Hi Justin,

first of all you are absolutely right that the template marketplace would definitely profit from more templates. However, it seems like you are looking for blog or personal branding templates.

Bubble is best at building web (and soon mobile) applications. Imagine Ebay, Facebook, Tinder and other apps that can be build with Bubble. While Bubble can be absolutely be used for your use case, Wix, Wordpress etc. are much better suited. Why? They are more SEO friendly, come with implemented blog logic and much much more. (The downsides is, that you can’t make an app out of it with complex logic and backend db infrastructure)

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Phil

templates are fully customizable just like any other app built on bubble, which means, when you buy the template, and create an app from it, you can change it to your heart’s desire, inclusive of the design.

Bubble limits the price of templates at $500 USD so nobody is wasting their time building great ones, especially since that same price limit has been set since 2017, so in comparison, the value of templates has gone down considerably, so even less incentive for developers to build great ones.

Publishing a template can be really tedious. I’ve been trying to publish one for a month and I get answers that don’t reflect my previous responses. Messages come back a week and a half later. I can’t be the only one!

@levon fyi as you were asking about submitting templates

Today a template from me was published after a 3 month approval process.

I have three templates and none of them took no more than 3 days to be approved. Just one I got one back and forth but I solved in the next day.
But now I have my fourth to be approved and it’s taking a while. So far more than a week.

I’ve built 9 templates. 8 was pubslished in a week. The last after 3 month. But this is a very complex template. So this might be the reason.
