I am really unable to recall how this all turned out. In 2018, Bubble was a Wild West show, with a lot of inexplicable defects, and I did not get much help from Bubble support.

A lot has been fixed since then. I don’t know if my one and only app is still using a workaround to get past this problem.

I wish I could be more helpful.

Ok, thanks. In that case, I’ll go ahead and submit a bug report (feature request ?) for a “make null/empty” function that also works for dates.
