Hi @carlos1! By default, the template does not contain any OpenBuild styles. I’m not 100% sure but I think that you can still use OpenBuild by copying+pasting all of the styles from the OpenBuild template into your copy of the template (as you would with any other Bubble app). Let me know if this is not the case though!

Hi @fayewatson! Your template looks fantastic! I would like to know what is your best recommendation to integrate it to an existing app to have a ‘user to user’ chat functionality. As I’ve read on this thread it still rather complicated. I assume most of the bubblers here need the chat functionality for their apps rather than just the ‘chat app’ itself. Thanks for the help and again congratulations on the template!

Hi @jmbarquet! Thank you so much for your message and for the kind words! I wish that I had a better answer in regards to integrating the chat functionality into an existing app, but unfortunately, I do not recommend integrating the template into an existing application at this time. This is because there still isn’t an easy way to do this, and there are hundreds of errors that pop up when attempting to copy and paste all of the page elements and workflows, due to the template having hundreds of connected elements and workflows on the messages page. There have been a few Bubblers that have created a ‘second standalone app’ with the template and used the Bubble App Connector to connect their existing app to the new app created with the template, but this approach still keeps both apps separate. That’s a great question – I probably wouldn’t recommend having two apps, but it is possible to allow Users to login to a second Bubble app, using their credentials from the main app. This way, they wouldn’t have to re-signup for the second app. Once the App Connector plugin is setup between your main app and the second app, Bubble will allow you to use the “Signup/Login with a social network” action in place of …

Aside from this approach, I hope there is an option that allows Bubblers to import a single page (with all of its elements, styles, workflows, and data structure) into an existing application in the future. This would allow Bubblers that have purchased the template to simply add it to their existing app, instead of needing to copy and paste workflows, or create a second app just for the chat functionality. If Bubble adds this option, I will absolutely update this thread with instructions on how to set this up. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions at all!

One more question regarding feature… is it possible to add a broadcast message to usergroup or multi-selected users?

Hey @ahanviv Thanks for your message! The template is not yet on the new responsive engine. In terms of adding new features, the template doesn’t currently include functionality that broadcasts messages to groups or selected users by default, but that would be possible to build on top of the existing messaging functionality.
