Shrink the element height if the text gets shorter

IF i use this option then, letters like g, j are being cut at the bottom.

I know, right? Try setting the padding on the bottom border of the text group to >0.

You can get to it by going into the style the text group is using, or setting the style pulldown to empty, and ticking the box for independent borders, and manually setting the padding on the bottom border.
