SSL error bad cert

I’m getting a bad SSL certificate error on my site.
I don’t get it everywhere, just at certain places I’ve recently visited. A coffee shop, an office, a University. At some locations it works fine.

The error is different and it appears to be coming from the local network. At one place I see that the cert is SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN. when I look at the details it shows the cert as only valid for *.safezone.macafee.com

Another place shows the error ERR_CERT_INVALID and the invalid cert as the Cisco Umbrella

It seems that the issue has more to do with the local network is not able to interpret the cert coming back from bubble. They think I’m a phishing threat.

my domain is MyMainn.com. When I test it at https://ssltools.godaddy.com/views/certChecker I get green thumbs up.

The error just started a day or so ago.

Hi @pbost2002,

It looks like it’s working fine for me. How long ago did you propagate your domain with Bubble?

I haven’t modified the DNS for months.

I removed some unused plugins recently. Not sure if that had an impact.

I am seeing the same thing. Its very intermittent. It works fine and then you get the page fail. If I switch my connection from WIFI to 4G, it works fine again.

Here is my forum entry - Secure Connection Failed - SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

@Andrew.Vernon Can I get some help on this bug? It appears to be more than just my app that is affected.

That’s so strange, SSL for my Bubble App is usually through Cloudflare. Perhaps file a bug report? Pinging @Bubble for visibility as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just created a bug with the same notes. the SSL error varies by location - the Cisco error was at a place where they have a cisco router. The macafee error was at a place with macaffee security.

turns out that my website was blacklisted by McAfee.
