Hello, I’ve tried everything from bring to front, to going through layouts on both Wire and Text and cannot figure out why the coloring of the text is not the default color that is set.

The opacity of the group should be 100%.
Thanks hergin, that worked, however the transparency styling I used was a wire frame setting. Which is why the opacity of the blue is at 10%
The group controls everything inside?
Individual elements inside the group do not matter or does not override?
I guess some things override, some things don’t 
Opacity of the parent overrides all elements but background color does not for example:
