As the world changes the issues with hosting outside of a particular region is an issue that will not go away.
I am in Australia and it seems the question will not go away, “where is the data hosted?” I get the same when talking to European and UK customers.
It would be less painful to be able to buy a plan and have the data hosted in Australia.
The best we can do at the moment is to use s3 storage for all digital data such as images, documents, videos etc, in a particular region, but it is the data in the database which is more of an issue for local privacy compliance!
Has anyone found a way to deal with this, maybe you connect to an external database or some other solutions that does not end up costing you thousands each month.
Anyone come up with solutions, ideas or even promising experiments?
