Tracking embedded YouTube videos with Google Analytics 4

Hi all,

The Bubble app I am developing has a lot of embedded YouTube videos. Since I really need to find out how these videos are performing, I activated GA4 and created a special tag in Google Tag Manager to make sure I got the engagement data I was looking for. Everything seemed to work when I previewed in tag assistant. Unfortunately, it seems like video tracking only works in test mode as I am only getting video variables from one user (myself) on my GA dashboard. This is not true for other variables such as page_view or session_start which I’m getting from all my users. I have asked users to engage with videos in my presence so I know the answer is not simply that my users don’t watch my videos.

Has anyone come accross this problem before ? What should I do ?
