Transferring an iOS app to another Apple Developer account

Hey everyone,

I have a question about deploying an iOS app via Apple Store Connect. I want to send my app to TestFlight so my client can test it without using Bubble Go.

If I submit the app to my Apple Developer account and make it available on TestFlight, is it possible to later transfer it to my client’s Apple Developer account for final submission to the App Store?

I know Apple allows app transfers between accounts, but I’m not sure if there are any restrictions when using Bubble’s build process. Has anyone successfully transferred an app to another Apple Developer account after an initial TestFlight release?

Hi!

From what I know, Apple allows the transfer of apps between Apple Developer accounts, but there are some limitations to consider:

The app must be in the “Ready for Sale” or “Pending” status.

There cannot be a pending version for review in the App Store.

You must follow the transfer procedure directly in App Store Connect.

You can click on your app in App Store Connect, then choose the “Transfer App” option to start transferring to the other Apple Developer account.

For greater security I would contact Apple support, they are very fast and efficient in responding. :slight_smile:

I’m not looking to transfer the app itself but rather to send a build to a different Apple Developer account. My goal is to first submit a build to my Apple Developer account for TestFlight testing, and later send a new build to my client’s Apple Developer account for the final App Store submission.

Since Bubble handles the build process, would I need to set up my client’s Apple Developer credentials from scratch in Bubble when switching accounts? Or can I simply generate a new build using different Apple Developer credentials without any major complications?

I think you should then refill in the fields in the mobile section and set the apps on your client’s account from 0
