hey everyone, having a bit of trouble getting the “username taken” text to appear in the register section of my app. I don’t have any privacy rules and to my knowledge have the conditional set correctly.

The answer to this question – that you cannot have yoururl.com/arbitrary_alias without messing up essential 404 behavior – is most decidedly conclusive (as of this writing, 02/25/2019). While you can do it, the pages that you seem to direct to are throwing 404 errors back to the agent viewing the pages. So such pages will never be indexed properly. Note: Today we’d do this with slugs and just ask if the slug is available.

Thank you for responding I was able to come up with a solution. I added a privacy policy, removed it, then reloaded the tab.
