I’ve been Bubblin’ for a while now but just came across one that’s got me stumped.
I connected a new Bubble app yesterday to a subdomain hosted on SiteGround. For some reason, when I go to the subdomain I’m getting an unusual 404 or Site Under Construction page (see image below) about 50% of the time.
I’ve never seen it before and I’m not sure where it’s coming from. Does anyone know which service along the line is showing it? I’ll also attach a pic of my DNS setup.
So usually this will happen while the DNS is still propagating across the internet. I think the standard time quoted for that is 48 hours, but I feel like that hasn’t been the case for about 20 years and in practice things happen a lot quicker, usually minutes.
I would throw the domain into https://dnschecker.org and see if any of the servers are still pointing to Siteground. But it’s unlikely.
The other thing to try is clearing your browser cache. Often that’s the culprit as well for situations like this

Thanks Josh! As with most bugs/errors, it was completely my fault .
For anyone who comes across this in the future, check your DNS records and make sure that your domain and/or subdomain is not pointing to any other IP.
If so, delete them and it will work right away (in my case, or as Josh mentioned, it could take some time)
I think we’ve all had head scratching DNS errors that cause so much anxiety at some point, only for it to be totally user generated then you make the most minor fix and it’s fine
