I’m pretty new to Bubble but struggling to find something that I thought should be obvious…
I’m displaying a list of documents from the database (just data) and want to limit the viewing space to 4 or 5 rows. That works. I would expect to see a vertical scroll bar appear on the table but it does not and I cannot find a way to get one to allow me to access the rows “out of shot” below in the table
In my case, I had “set fixed number of repeating rows” checked, which I mistakenly believed would set the maximum number of rows that appear in view at a time (allowing additional rows to scroll into view as needed).
As I found out, that is not actually the case. Checking that box limits the number of rows that will load into the table altogether. So unchecking it allows vertical scrolling to function as expected.
To make a vertical scroll bar appear on your table, set your Repeating Group to Vertical Scrolling instead of fixed rows. This will allow the table to show a few rows while making the rest scrollable. Also, make sure the Parent Group containing the Repeating Group is limited in height to show only 4-5 rows at a time. The scroll bar will automatically appear when there are more rows than the visible space can show.
Let me know if you need more help!
