Web/android/IOS app built up

Hi everyone,

I’m new to Bubble, recently discovered this app building sorcery and I’m extremely excited as a non-developer.

I’m currently co-founder of www.studaro.com, we help international students find a qualified part time job next to their studies with our online platform.

We are thinking to expand our services to all recent graduates. I wonder if it’s possible to make a web/android/IOS app like www.joinhandshake.com on Bubble.is (they are some kind of jobapp)? And how long would it take? We want make the European equivalent.

Looking forward for your feedback and tips!

Stay awesome,

Welcome.

I watched the video, if you’re looking for a web application (browser) then bubble would support this, you can use this to create an app but it will feel a lot like you’re using a browser. For the app to functional like an app and be able to show notifications (push notifications) you need a native app. For that https://www.dropsource.com/ is probably the closest you’ll get without code. #myopinion

I second Dropsource. You can build your backend logic on Bubble, but for the user-facing stuff, going a native route with a tool like Dropsource makes more sense in my opinion.

Hi Alian,

Thanks for your message and the feedback, really appreciate it.

So basically I can combine Bubble.is and Dropsource?

Hi Andrew,

Wonderfull, thanks. How long do you think it would take to build a first version as a non-tech and beginner on Bubble/Dropsource? (and how much money would it take?)

Cheers,
Ruben

Both Bubble and Dropsource have free tiers you can use while you build. Dropsource is $49 per month when you pay monthly, Bubble plans start at $16 per month paid monthly.

The time table just depends on how much time you have to put into learning, how much time you have to put into building, and how patient you are. If you want to hire someone to build it for you, that’s an option, also.

Hiring someone to do it for me also depends on the costs again.

If we are going to take this forward we will spend around 4 full days/week on it in the beginning until development is completed. Imagine I spend 3 weeks playing around with Bubble, after that, is it a mather of weeks, 3 months, 6 months, …

Stay awesome,
Ruben
