What makes less consumption in query API or 'Do a search'?

Hi all,
I have a huge list with car customers (about 1 million). I can store this data:
A. Internally in Bubble db
B. In external DB (which is really fast ) and have access through API

What is better when I fetch in terms of:

  • Consumption
  • Speed (considering that webservice response is fast). This sounds ambiguous, but a response with any previous experience with a fast db, will be appreciated.

Using API would be better and consumes less in Bubble, assuming you are not pulling all 1 million records.
