Can’t take anyone seriously who discounts Bubble’s current relevance or usefulness.

Also can’t take anyone seriously who discounts the direction it’s headed in if nothing changes.

A friend of mine (who had never built a website before) wanted to build an app and I advocated for bubble. I think it’s an amazing platform, one where there is SO much great stuff in it that we take for granted because it “just works" it’s easy to forget just how much is going on under the hood and what a top job the founders did in creating it.

The issue is though, my friend opted for Lovable. He made his app and seems happy with it. I think it was the code access (no lock-in) aspect that swung him, as well as some slick marketing & a modern looking interface. It makes him ‘feel like a pro’.

Eitherway, that’s the reality of the battle bubble is now in, and needs to figure out how to win. I sincerely hope it does. :folded_hands:t2::sun:. When a complete newbie with no experience is looking into the best options, bubble needs to be the one standing out.

I’d suggest bubble definitely pushes the “all under one roof” aspect harder. Database, storage, frontend, backend, security, scheduled tasks, API, plugin building (code!) all in one unified interface - It’s a key selling point of the whole platform (hence the name BUBBLE i assume). especially for beginners. Definitely need to shout about that more.

Then make sure that unified interface is the gold standard. Currently there’s so many little bugs - undo breaks, copy & paste breaks, very basic things. Bubble must get very serious about this UX aspect, and fast.

It’s a big task, but they are still in it - just need to get very serious and knuckle down fast. Of course they know all this.

I went all in on Bubble over the last 18 months. I have never looked back once, and I never will.

If you understand product, if you’ve dealt with the challenges that come with code based software, the costs, the painfully slow cycles…Bubble is like being handed water in the desert.

Sometimes Bubble genuinely feels too good to be true. Below is just one example of why.

I rebuilt one of my own products on Bubble Feb to June, soft launched in June, processed $65k+ in July, then $200k+ in August.

The app was barely optimised so I was hammering the WU, I think I spent $200-300 in sub costs over those two months to make ~$4k in platform fees. That’s not including subscription revenue.

This is one of a few big wins Bubble has facilitated for me this year.

Bubble is GOATED.
