Email sending limit of 20 destinations, but I have sendgrid?

The app has stopped sending emails. I’m seeing this error in my logs:

“Sending email failed: You have exceeded the email rate limit of 20 email destinations per day. To continue sending, please install a custom SendGrid key”

Thing is… I have a SendGrid key saved, and confirmed it’s working using the “Verify SendGrid Key” button. What am I missing?

I’d fill out a bug report, that’s definitely not intended behavior.

In the mean time use one of the sendgrid plugins to send emails.
