Unknown to me at the time I started to setup gmail for my app. They have changed their policies and now require annual security audits costing $15,000 to $75,000 if you want to use any of the scopes they deem “restricted”. This may make any idea you have that involved gmail unacheivable unless you have big pockets.

WOW. That is effed up. I can’t believe Google doesn’t trust me as a consumer of my own data to do whatever I want with it. Even if it’s giving it away to Uber…
