I set up an alert for a dropdown category box that should run when it has not been given a value (it’s empty).
There’s an option that prevents it from being empty, but then I can’t evaluate that condition to show the alert - the ‘This option should not be empty’ option when ticked, overrides any workflow logic for the alert.
As a workaround I’ve disabled the option ‘This option should not be empty’ and set up the workflow for the alert which now works. The draw back is my options list now displays an empty row as a valid option, which doesn’t look great.
