I try to use the apple pay option in Stripe, so I need to have to have a file on the server at this place

https://example.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.

I know how to upload to https://example.com/
but how to create the https://example.com/ .well-know/ then access it?

I have the feeling I miss something obvious, but I can’t tell
