I have a complex B2B SaaS system (for financial institutions) and often do Screen Share demos via Zoom/Teams - when viewing the application w/ screen sharing it becomes quite slow to load data/pages. So pages do not look as “snappy” as they do in a live real-world experience. Its ultimately not setting up the best demos.
Does anyone else experience this - are there better combinations of browser w/ certain video platforms? (Zoom + Chrome seems to give the ‘best’ experience I’ve found to-date, but still pretty lagged)
Or are their browser/ video settings to change to make the experience better?
Also have thought about attempting to push the demo screen from a separate computer than my video to see if that might help.
Lastly, don’t think its internet connection, I’m on fiber w/ hardlines and get 1GB up/down on speedtests at my machine.
Hey @josh48, When you share your screen, do you share just a tab, a window, or your entire screen? I’ve noticed (not specific to Bubble, but screen sharing in general) that sharing the entire screen often gives the best results compared to sharing just a tab or a window (at least on Teams, I also use the browser version instead of the OSX app which improves a lot). I’m not sure why, but it might be worth trying if you haven’t already!
Edit: There are also settings you can change that improves a lot when sharing video for example (can have something to do with this?) that removes some of the latency (mostly used for teens when they want to watch Netflix together without lag and one shares the screen) you can go on YouTube and search “screen share video on Zoom etc”
Appreciate the response! I’ve been sharing just a window (easier for my setup with a single large monitor), but will definitely try sharing a whole screen.
