Bone to pick with Bubble preview & run as

I don’t know if its just me but the default redirect to the index page when preview is clicked from a reusable bothers me a lot. Having to navigate to the page you wish to preview in your Bubble editor every single time after making changes to a reusable featured on that page is repetitive and in my opinion unnecessary.

I would much rather see a flow that simply loads the last previewed web page by the app editor when preview is clicked from a reusable.

I’d also like to be able to set and modify (when necessary) a default user to run as. I do not want to have to go to my database records and find that user every time.

In an ideal world I’d like to be able to click preview from any reusable on the app and have the last previewed page load and I’d like that action to run as my ‘default run as’ user.

I know a lot of devs solve this issue by just having a couple of tabs open. I don’t like that inefficiency. I don’t have a lot of memory on my device, so when I have to work on a really big app it fries my memory.

Of course, this is my opinion so I’d be curious if anyone has any other ideas on what this flow should look like or are you happy with the current setup?

Buildprint has what you need (and you can pin specific records to the top of the data tab)

This looks promising.

The Ai description makes it sound like an MCP … is it more than an MCP?

Buildprint is the agentic engineering platform for Bubble that lets you use Claude Code and Codex to work on your Bubble app.

Well, I’ve only heard good things about it. I’ll check it out.
