⏱️ Bubble Benchmarks and WF Unit Costs!

Hey all…

I thought I would start a thread for the real geeks here who love a benchmark.

I have to change a single field in 11,168 records and I thought I would give Make changes to a list of things a go.

I finished the timer at 2 minutes 10 seconds for it to finish the workflow. I’m unsure if all the records were changed at that point but going on the time I think they might have been.

The workflow cost for this was 49.5 WFU, not too bad really in the scheme of things unless you are modifying this amount of things daily

It costs 0.5 WU to make changes to a thing…

So making changes to 11,168 things would be expected to cost 5584 WU…

So something doesn’t seem right here.

Interesting

That’s fetching data. Not changing data (which would be in a workflow section of the pie chart.

Check you’re looking at logs for the right version, and you were actually making changes to 11,000 things (not less because of, for example, privacy rules)

Not sure I quite understand. This was the click through from the first donut chart.

The first donut chart did say searching data, however there was no other items on the graph and i hadn’t done anything for a few minutes either side of this. Certainly nothing that would cost 50wu

Well it’s certain that you’re either not making changes to 11,000 things, or you’re not reading the logs correctly.

There’s zero chance changing 11,000 things costed 50 WU! It’s probably because you’re reading the wrong version’s WU graph.

Can you have a look at the logs, can I add you to the app to have a look

Does make changes to a list have a limit of things it will process?

I believe it’s 50,000 for a sorted list and 100,000 for an unsorted list.

So limited by the search.
