Bubble for Native Mobile Apps vs. FlutterFlow: What’s the 2026 Verdict?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the discovery phase of a new project, and I’m facing a bit of a dilemma regarding the tech stack. I’m a big fan of Bubble’s logic and database flexibility, but I have a very specific goal: The app must be published on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

I’ve been doing some research, but I’d love to get some “real-world” feedback from those of you who have taken the plunge.

My Main Questions:

  • Native Feel & Performance: For those who have launched on the stores using Bubble, how does the app hold up? Does the “wrapped” web view feel smooth enough for a high-quality B2C experience, or do users notice the difference compared to native apps?

  • The Wrapping Process: Which wrappers are you currently recommending? (BDK, Nativator, or others?). Is the maintenance of a wrapped app a significant headache when OS updates (iOS/Android) are released?

  • Bubble vs. FlutterFlow: I’m also considering FlutterFlow since it’s built on Flutter and generates native code. For a mobile-first project, is it worth the steeper learning curve (and managing a separate backend like Firebase/Supabase), or can Bubble + a wrapper still compete in terms of UX?

  • Hardware Access: Have you had any issues accessing native features like biometric login (FaceID), push notifications, or background GPS tracking via Bubble?

My Goal:

I want to build something scalable. If the UI/UX needs to be top-tier and “snappy,” is Bubble still the right choice, or is it better to use Bubble for the web version and something else for mobile?

I’d love to hear about your successes (or “lessons learned”) with native publishing!

Thanks in advance for your insights!

So, you don’t need to wrap an app anymore. Bubble has a native mobile builder you can use. Wrapping an app was the old way we had to do it. That is no longer needed. Have you checked out the Mobile app editor when creating an app? You can publish to the app stores within Bubble now too. Hope that helps. You can check what it can do currently by looking at the documentation. Native mobile | Bubble Docs
