Bubble Gap - Dropdown Element

Anyone have a reasonable explanation as to why you can’t create a workflow directly from the dropdown element’s dialog box? It makes no sense a button isn’t there to punch out to the workflow.

Right click on the element, then choose start/edit workflow. Is that what you mean?

You can use the When input’s value has changed event if that is what you are looking for :hugs:

Thanks. I get that. I’m looking for why Bubble doesn’t have the option on the dialogue box for the element to “Add Workflow” like they do for other elements?

I’m guessing it is because what is the workflow event procedure driving the need for the workflow. If that’s the case, I can think of plenty of design assistance approaches that doesn’t result in a user being confused and having to come to the forum to figure out that for this one you need to go to workflow first and then pick “When input’s value has changed.”

This is a “no code” platform. For being no code, it sure is leaning on users to figure out a lot of things for themselves and leaving huge gaps in how helpful it is.

Well that’s amazingly helpful. This further begs the question why this element lacks a button in the dialogue box for the element. Many other elements have it; why not this one?
