My site is down too.
Yea, I mean how could they keep their proprietary software…proprietary…?
It’ll be back up soon enough.
They know it’s down.
It’ll be helpful to inform them when they say it’s back up if it’s not. Until then, they’re scrambling, everyone.
Same here in NYC

Through the proper copyright and T&C. Just like every other proprietary software that allows users to store versions of their work locally.
It’s not software … it’s a service
Up and running in the Midwest
Beyond a certain traction/revenue point, it’s not smart business for a 3rd party to have complete control over your code base. If Bubble’s long term vision is to be where people prototype and get the first 10K users before graduating to the big leagues - so be it.
Hey guys, sorry about this again… not the best 2 days in Bubble-land.
This latest incident was an own-goal: rolled out a version of the code that caused the server to crash hard. The crash didn’t occur until after it had been running in production traffic for 5 minutes, which is how it snuck past our automated tests. During the recovery and rollback process, there was some load build-up that got several systems stuck in a downward spiral, and it took a while to restart everything and get Bubble back to a clean state. Ironically, the code that caused the crash was in response to the incident yesterday: one of the additional metrics I was adding.
I’m going to step back and think about process changes to keep this from happening… this has been way too much downtime. We expect Bubble to not be up 100% of the time, because no service is ever up 100% of the time, but our goal is for it to be as reliable as most major internet players. I’m also going to take a look at the way we report incidents, since it’s no fun for you guys to be stuck on the forum wondering what’s going on; I think status.bubble.is could do a better job here.
