Hi everyone,
Do anyone of you have apps that reach 1000 users per day? I want to know the total pricing per month bubble charges for the app. The reason i ask this is because i want to know whether it is affordable to build app using bubble.
Hi everyone,

Depends on the app you build. 1000 concurrent users using complex logic all at one time is different than 1000 users viewing a static page.
Tq Stephen for quick response.
Can anyone explain to me what is 2 units of server capacity? How many users can the app bear for one unit of server capacity?
It really depends on what the app does, it’s hard to say. If the interactions are quite complex, it’ll handle fewer users. I have an app running with 800 users, no reserved capacity, and it runs fine. On the other hand, I had another app that couldn’t handle more than 50 without grinding to a halt. It all depends on what your app does and how you build it.
Tq Andrew. Can you give me the link of the app that has 800 users and also the other one which crashes when reaches 50 active users. The reason i ask this is to have a little bit idea of the cost of hosting the app on bubble.
I would also like to know to get some idea of future costs. I’m at the point where I like that I can build cool things but it would be a nasty surprise if the numbers don’t work out.
Anyone have some concrete examples of apps with user numbers they’d be willing to share?
thx!
I had a project that had 60 concurrent users and was very complex and server intensive and I ran it off the professional plan with no problems, it had a total of 2,000 users but not concurrently. Keep in mind that each user was running an average of 3 data modifying workflows per minute.
The apps aren’t mine to share, unfortunately. I built them for customers, and they are pretty insistent on not telling the world they were built on Bubble.
Thanks for sharing! This is helpful to know as I figure out how to integrate Bubble into my work.
It’s too bad no one wants anyone to know that their apps are built on Bubble, totally get it though, thx.
The big reason is the vendor lock-in. When my clients are pitching to investors, they’re concerned about being tied to the Bubble infrastructure, and how much of the logic is black-boxed away from the developers. The general consensus from my customers is that Bubble is super great for MVPs and to get product/market fit, but the inability to get access to the under-the-hood code is a big negative.
I was wondering how much tip-toeing one had to do around the fact that something is built using bubble. Right now I’m just working on my own projects so it’s not such a big deal, but yeah it does seem a bit risky should something happen once actual users are involved. My developer friend reminded me the other day how much testing there was in actual production software env… but yeah, I guess I’ll be doing MVPs and P/M fit with it
Which is fine, now that I know what I’m looking at. Thanks!!
I should clarify: I use Bubble for MY production work, none of it happens to be released yet
It does everything I need it to, and I’m confident enough in the team thus far to build my business on top of Bubble. It’s the enterprise and funded-startups I work with (as a consultant) that have the issues.
Tq everyone. I am now giving a real example of an simple app called kaodim.com that has 50k one time users per month. The app is simple is bcoz there is not much workflow. After you see the app, can you tell me how many reserved capacity and storage needed?
The reason i ask the earlier question 30 mins back is if the number of users grow from 2k users to 50k users, will bubble pricing be affordable.
Tq codurly for the answer. I want to know how much reserved capacity and storage is your app that has 2000 users. The reason i ask this is because i want to know whether i can afford bubble if it scales to that level.
If your app scales to 50,000 users, hopefully you’re monetizing it to the point where you can cover the cost. Again, it’s impossible to tell how much capacity your app will need until you build it. Just like any other programming language, you can build things efficiently or you can build things poorly. The same type of app built by 2 different developers can have wildly different performance.
