Can save date time, but not Date formatted as....?

Why can’t I save my date by the format m/d/yr?? I don’t understand why this would need more params.

I don’t think it really matters does it? Can you not just display it in the correct way when you want to retrieve it later? Or am I missing something that makes this not work for you.

I want to check if today date day is greater than the day stored. 2/17/2020 is greater than 2/16/2020.

vs

2/16/2020 12pm is greater than 2/16/2020 9am which doesn’t work for my case.

A date :formatted as… is no longer a date. In most cases, it’s a string (text). Don’t save dates that way.

For a good overview of dates - what they are, what the represent, and the differences between date construction and date formatting, see:
