I don’t think it really matters does it? Can you not just display it in the correct way when you want to retrieve it later? Or am I missing something that makes this not work for you.
I want to check if today date day is greater than the day stored. 2/17/2020 is greater than 2/16/2020.

2/16/2020 12pm is greater than 2/16/2020 9am which doesn’t work for my case.
A date :formatted as… is no longer a date. In most cases, it’s a string (text). Don’t save dates that way.
