Can't adjust padding on Dropdown

It would be great if it was possible to adjust the padding inside the basic Dropdown element:

As you can see in the picture, the text and the arrow is too close to the border.

Is there a way to add horizontal padding in dropdown inputs? Right now it appears as if the text in the dropdowns is just left aligned and there’s no way to add a few pixels of padding like in other inputs.
