System emails are currently coming from initial-app-name-no-reply@bubbleapps.io with no Sender Name.
Now that I have settled on a name for the app, I’d like to change “initial-app-name” to “actual-app-name” and add a sensible Sender Name. Is that possible somehow?
I am using a custom domain and I know I could set up Sendgrid for this, but for the MVP I would rather not yet bother. Just changing the email address and Sender Name would be nice and simple.
Go to the Settings tab, click on Domain / email and you should see the options “emails sent by your app come from” with an input. Fill this in with the email address you want. Then fill out the “Sender name” input below it.
I don’t have “emails sent by your app come from” as an input. Is that only there if you have Sendgrid activated for your account?

I guess the emails sent from input is for Sendgrid. Have you added your custom domain to your app? If you set that up, then the email should be from the sender name from your custom domain. Set that up and try it out to see if it works.
If you’re using a custom domain, you have the option to add your Sendgrid API key. This is in Domain/Email tab in Settings and below your domain details.
You can also use Postmark to send email. There is a plugin for that.
