CNAME record for another domain to point to my Bubble app

I have used CNAME records successfully a number of times so this is a bit puzzling. I own both the (mycompany).com and (mycompany).ai domains. I have set up the Bubble app on the .ai domain.

I simply want to have users automatically redirect to the .ai site when they go to (mycompany).com. So I added a CNAME record in my DNS host to point @ and www to (mycompany).ai. This has always worked in the past on other platforms.

But now I’m getting Error 1001 from Cloudflare - DNS resolution error. You’ve requested a page on a website (mycompany.com) that is on the Cloudflare network. Cloudflare is currently unable to resolve your requested domain (mycompany.com).

Doing lookups for my CNAME records on third-party sites, the records seem OK. Do I need to set anything up for this on the Bubble side?

I have exactly the same issue. Cloudflare error 1001 when I use a CNAME record to point to my app. I suspect that there will be a config item on the Bubble side that needs to be changed for it to work with the CNAME record. Would love to know what it is!

@blair3 if you are using Cloudflare, can you not create a page rule to redirect?
