Create a list from data type fields?

Is it possible to have a drop down field list items to be a list of fields from a data type?

If I have to maintain a separate custom list it means every time I create a new field, I have to then create that as an option within the list.

I am wanting to dynamically list all of the fields in a data type so I can use that list in different parts of my app. For example, if a data type called “Orders” has 3 fields (Date, Product, Total), I could display a list of just the field names in a dropdown.

The short answer is no.
