unfortunately not yet. but seems like this is a hardware / operating system issue and all wrappers seem to have the same problem…but will look into it further and keep you posted
Hey @d9999 - awesome product!
Considering this for a couple of upcoming projects. One concern I have is that on the pro plan the Thunkable branding is apparently visible.
Is this the case when using the Henry wrapper?
It is. The branding/beaver logo can be removed with a business level subscription. Best plan when wrapping with Thunkable, imo (from a Thunkable employee ), would be to pay it for a month, get your branding in place; publish, then go back to free.
It’s kinda like the unity logo appearing in games. It’s brief but if you’re using strict branding, it could be an eyesore.
Thanks Jared!
So even after reverting to the free plan, branding is removed?
Soo
Purchasing a month of business would allow you to publish a version of your app that has your custom branding. Once that app is in the store no matter what your plan changes to we don’t change, rather, can’t change the app that you have already published.
If you did revert to free the branding is removed. However, you can’t publish it for you. You can however edit your app and work on it in the meantime. In my opinion, you just need to publish with Henry once and then work on your bubble app.
Yeah okay gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.
Can I also ask: for one project we’re creating a native app with companion desktop app. Both sharing the same DB.
Should be no issues with using the same Bubble app for both, correct? Where the native app just points to a specific page and desktop utilizes other pages (e.g. project.com/app for native app and project/dashboard for desktop app)?
Not at all!!!
yep if you do a good job on the responsive dev it could even be the same page
Hey @d9999
This plugin is AWESOME - Great work.
A question - we use Bubble’s magic link exclusively for sign on (No passwords) The link is redirecting people to Chrome, not the app. Is there a solution too this.
I may need to re-introduce passwords again if not…
Thanks
Simon
Also thinking we could use a SMS OTP for mobile
Sorry i did no see this - will look into it on the weekend! Aldo the sms topic
ok looked into this. i don’t think there is currently a good solution as thinkable does not yet support deep linking. If that’s a requirement, i think BDK would be the better choice for you, unfortunately.
What’s BDK, sorry? @d9999
Have not been able to resolve OTP SMS so far either as bubble’s Log in workflow still requires a password.
Might be back to a password option for mobile users.
https://thebdk.com/ - like henry, but more advanced (but also more expensive)
Hi-
I am considering using this to build an application where I would need to get to the barometric sensor reading from iOS and Android phones. Would I be able to get those values from the device using this tool?
Thanks in advance!
Tim
hi @tim17 . no this is not supported.
Hi @d9999
I just subscribed into your henry plugin and follow the instruction. I haven’t yet set up any of the plugin features, just install the plugin and follow instruction to work on thunkable.
Yes it work, I can download the APK for the android version and it work. But not for the IOS version, it doesn’t even appear on the download option. Can you help what may happen? (I am using ms windows, not Mac Book and free version of thunkable)
Thanks
Hey @simfortuna - that is unfortunately not related to your browser / account. Thunkable has (for reasons i don’t understand) removed this. temporarily i hope. we are working on a solution to circumvent this issue… apologies for that.
Apple took away their enterprise certificate (which is the certificate used when building apps for direct download) due to the size of the company. ipso facto, no more direct downloads. That plus no haste to replace it with an option to use a users own certificate.
Hey there awesome job on the plugin1 Im having trouble with figuring out where to put the google billing licencing key in my app. If you could point me in the right direction or have a look at my app that would be much appreciated.
