Croppie - element plugin to crop and zoom images before upload

Hello, it appears the slider ball on my app is green, but on another users is gray. How can we change the colour of the slider ball. Thank you

Hello, the zoom slider is not appearing in my instance of croppie, it seems like croppie is ignoring the “Show zoomer” checkbox value. However the zooming via two finger scrolling on my macbook’s touchpad works fine.
Anyone else has the same problem or maybe a solution?

I found the problem: it’s the “Boundary Height”, I set it at 100% initially and that hides the slider.
If you want a square boundary then make the croppie taller than wider so there’s space for the slider

Thank you very much for your plugin. I am using it very well.

If you can improve both, I will be very happy.

First, it would be nice if the user could customize the background color and border (boundary) color of the viewport.

Second, I wish it was possible to save only the original image in the workflow. For now, either the original image and the resulting image are saved at the same time, or only the resulting image is saved.

Is it expected behavior to get significant compression when resizing?

Even if I keep same dimensions as source image, I’m getting about 25% or original image byte size, and loss of quality…

Hey Christian,

I’ve encountered the same problem described here. Were you able to find a workaround to this? Any response would be much appreciated

Is it possible to get the css settings (transform, scale etc.) of the image when you move (dragg) the image in croppie. So i don’t have to save the cropped version of the image but i can save the css settings and use the original en just apply the saved css settings every time i use the image.

If it’s also possible to re-apply these settings in croppie than it 's mutch easier to change the crop and re-scale the image without saving the cropped version every time.

Its like the preview version but i cannot save the settings from the preview version.

Is it possible to upload the same image in croppie with two different “Viewport type” in two different files in the database?

Let´s say I want to upload a profile picture once. But I need this picture squared for one purpose and circled for another one.

If yes, how can I do that?

Thank you!

I am unable to get the size of the cropped or uploaded image for cropping. I tried everything but it keeps on 0. Has anybody got this working?

I want to be able to know if I need to compress or not.

Whenever a croppie uploads an image , these images appear to have a type “application/octet-stream” in the file manager.

Does anyone have encountered a similar problem? I want to know if this is a normal behavior or if it will present an issue in the future to retrieve the images.

Thanks!!

Excellent plugin, exactly what im looking for for my project. Although what i need is to get this to accept gif files. Anyone ever figured this out?

@mishav I want to restrict users from saving a croppie if the size of the file is greater than 16 MB. Using the condition I have in the image below, what would I have to change? What size type is the croppie storing? And how would that correspond to 16 MB (which is my need). Currently it is not working as intended.

Additionally the Croppie element options, show a max file size option but in (Bytes) which would mean for 16MB, I would have to enter a number of approx. 16,000,000… of which I TRIED to enter, but when I attempt an upload that is only 8MB it trips the condition of Croppie Image To large. Any insight?

Hi team, can we disable the zoom functionality when opening the cropper

Hi, it seems Croppie has stopped working on my app.
The ‘browse’ action doesn’t seem to work and the file browser doesn’t open.
Is this happening to anyone else ?
